Welcome to Kids Bible Adventure
Our children’s ministry is a fun and safe place for kids to learn about faith, build friendships, and grow in their relationship with God. All children and parents/guardians must register in the church lobby where they will be given a drop off tag. Part 1 of the tag is the name tag for the child and the drop off/pick up tag for the parent that identifies the adult with the child.
We pray these children may be light in their world, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, their light will grow brighter each day.
The format for our Sunday Morning Kid’s Bible Adventure is Sunday School in a Vacation Bible School (VBS) format. Everyone loves VBS. Children enjoy the frequent movement between the focused learning segments, snacks and crafts. KBA starts with all age groups participating in the opening. After the opening, children separate into two groups — Pre-K through First Grade and Second Grade through Fifth Grade.

Kid’s Bible Adventure uses Lifeway’s Gospel Project for Kids as its curriculum. The Gospel Project is a Christ-centered Bible study resource that presents the big picture of God’s story and the story of redemption through Jesus Christ in a chronological sequence – Genesis to Revelation.
Avery’s children’s ministry is also enhanced by its partnership with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) – Omaha.
By attending Children’s Ministry Conference’s Avery’s workers are kept up to date on curriculum, teaching techniques and are encouraged by the interaction with other workers from other churches.

The partnership allows us to have “Good News Summer Clubs” in parks and neighborhoods.

We are also working with CEF to have a Good News Christmas Party in a local elementary school next December and to ultimately have a weekly Good News Club in that elementary school.

Sometimes we just do things for fun!
